Henna Gallery

Henna, also known as Mendhi, has been practiced for five thousand years throughout India, Africa, and the Middle East. This act of painting the body with preparations made from crushed leaves of the henna plant, whether it be in preparation for a special occasion or in celebration of a particular event, has always been done with the assumption or fervent wish that the act would engender good fortune, happy results, and good feeling.

I have been doing henna now for almost five years. I make my own henna paste from: three time sifted henna powder, lemon juice, clove, black tea, and eucalyptus oil.

The henna you see here is done by G of Panik Attakz and Ann at: Henna and Mendhi
